Dream House such as Ibiza trance is a relatively slow mixture of trance with elements of house and Euro dance with concise melodies. The genre was very successful in the mid-1990s. Dream house is characterised by ‘dreamy’, mostly melancholic melodies that are underpinned by a danceable 4/4 beat. Only the relatively slow beat actually refers to house; the funkyness usually found in Dream is very much reduced.
